This is a great Maximizer
I have been using the Inflator for a long time but this maximizer seems to sound more transparent and brighter, in my opinion it works better with transients so you can push it a little bit further and have a louder master.

the one I prefer if I must use it
I don’t like to use tools like this too much. I makes me feel i didn’t do my job well. I never use it in a project on a certain instrument. Only when it comes to pre or stem mastering sometimes it comes in handy. I have one from waves, BX and Oxford but this is my go-to choice. It doesn’t ‘over do’ it’s job. No coloration etc.

Precision Maximizer
I never usually master my final mixes, but Covid has presented some problems in getting together with a friend who does it normally. He has Ozone and Slate plugins so I think I'll compare his last masters with the PM and see what the difference is between them. I liked the sound of the plugin but I noticed I needed to boost the input by 5 or 6 dB to match my mastered recordings.

This plugin got me to where I am as a mixer. Seriously. Getting your master buss loud but still in tact and not not apparently distorted is key in getting clients to approve a mix. With that said, only giving 4 starts cause "true peak" almost 1 full dB over dBFS. No one ever talks about that!

Lange überlegt und letztendlich keinen Cent bereut (75). Obwohl schon älter super vielseitig einsetzbar und sehr "musikalisch". Mit Studer, 1176 und EMT140 ein "go to"

Interesting tool
I haven't had enough time to really experiment with the different configurations, but it definitely helps bring out bass...especially on smaller speakers.

great for mastering, but it won't fix your mix. You need to get your mix spot on first, then this adds that finished polish.

Not essential
This is one of those plug ins you shouldn't really keep as priority. I find that there are other maximizers that work better. I prefer the oxford inflator. The precision limiter is a better tool than the maximizer

Simple tool for A/B comparison of mixes...
It's what you expect of a maximizer... it makes your scratch mixes louder to compare versions. But the Band function lets you apply effects to three bands, so one band doesn't drown out the others. Seems to keep me out of the mud.

Definitely has uses but...
... I'm not sure if this is suitable for mastering dance music (although I've not tried it on any acoustic / instrument-based material). It's certainly effective in the mix process, fantastic for beefing up a bass or synth layer.

This is quite good. It is less grainy and digital sounding than my Sonnox Inflater. I end up with a cleaner master. I still can't get up to commercial levels with my Precision limiter and Maximizer without entering into distortion, but it's better than just my Waves L3 and Sonnox Inflater. Certainly a worthwhile addition to my plug-ins.

Ich benutze den Maximizer beim Mastern.
Um noch mehr Lautstärke zu bekommen schalte ich den Precision Limiter vor dem Maximizer.

I like the loudness, warmth, and presence. I use this on my drums for punch and
on my overall mix when not using the precision Limiter.

MAXIMUS MAXIIMIZER
Well to be honest ,I have not had a lot of time to use the precision maximizer yet, but have demoed it a bit and as usual UA plugs are always as advertised and very transparent when they are supposed to be and colorful when emulating the classics.
Just keep up the good work,
