UAD Essentials Edition
Great set of plugins finally at a reasonable price for me. They work well the tape emulation, pultec eq (which I wanted for mastering) and the LA series. Not tried the rest yet. Each product by itself was for me too expensive to buy at once, so special offer made my day. There are other companies doing special bundles more often and that is why you tend to shop around. Good products and a lot of investment in time to produce it, but would still like the price on some items to be lower.

Only works well when you're DAW is online
I use Cubase 13 Pro, I recently installed a full version of PolyMAX Synth and I've had issues with my iLok account ever since. I don't like having my DAW constantly connected to the internet, it seems the only way to get PolyMAX to load and run ok is if I keep my DAW online. Not having the option to work offline really sucks.

How can I review plugins that Universal Audio won't help me activate??????
I've been trying to get some support from Universal Audio to activate my plugin bundle which I purchased from Plugin Boutique since March 31, 2024. Today is April 14th and still not a word of help from Universal Audio. However, today I get an email asking me to write a review of my plugins. I own other UAD plugins which are great but these I have yet to try out because I can't activate them. If you see this review Universal Audio, please send some help my way like right Now!! Thank you!

What no cable?
Finally got my apollo twin x after it arrived two days late only to find it to be unusable due to no thunderbolt cable supplied. Come on UAD, this is like selling someone a new car only to find on delivery that you need to get your own steering wheel. So the unit is basically unfit for purpose, until at the customers inconvenience a cable is found and purchased. If this is a profit thing then put the extra £30 on the price. The unit is not cheap so this is nothing short of ridiculous, and has really left me feeling frustrated with with a poor first impression. Hopefuly when Amazon delivers the cable (before 10pm this evening) I will be able to finally enjoy using the unit.

Quality plugins at an incredible price point
The LA2A compressor collection alone is worth the $49 price point. Plate reverb is a huge upgrade from stock plate IRs in Logic Pro. The Space Echo adds immediate vibe and I love that it has a pan knob for the wet signal.

Instant Sauce
My recent purchase of the UAD Essentials bundle has proven to be a very wise move. Adding the plugins to a channel yields instant sauce. The LA2 compressors are incredible. The EQ's precise and full of character. I haven't used another make of plugin that has given such a solid performance without months of gertting to know them first. Highly reccommended.
If I had to provide some constructive criticism, I am not a fan of plugins that can only be used when connected to the internet. I do not like to be connected when working on music. I also travel a lot, and very often, internet is not avaialble to me. That aside, the UAD bundle is damn near perfect.T. Mitrevej
