Overall, it's a quick, easy fix, but is hard to dial in at times.
It's a great plugin, but be sure to take your time and find the exact sweet spot / sweet ratio between the bandwidth and the threshold. I owned this plugin for a very long time but wasn't able to get decent sounds out of until I discovered the careful balancing act between the threshold and bandwidth. Now I love the plugin. It's a very quick solution to a common sibilance problem. I feel like even at the sweet spot, however, it darkens the tracks a bit much. Use it along with UAD Precision Enhancer kHz and you have a winning combo.

This de-esser is FANTASTIC! It sounds very natural and precise. I use it for live vocals when streaming and it works flawlessly due to low latency and low DSP.
PLEASE! UAD update the user interface (all Precision Series). The knobs and buttons are too small and the text is very hard to read!

Can barely tell whats going on most the time by listening. knowing where to place the settings could speed this unit setup but pro tools free de esser I usually leave in vrs replace with this.

Good old De-Esser
Yeh, there are many useful devices for work with vocal in now-days. Particular this one made by UAD can fight its corner on the market. Easy to use and "hear" what you get!

De-Esser on everything
Precision De-Esser goes on all my busses. It sounds fantastic! Sometimes I'll automate it on my tenor vocal mixes and BAM, I got the sound I wanted.

I think the "precision" line is a decent set of tools, but overall, there are other brands and stock plugins that are just as effective. Nothing by Precision sounds bad, so you really can't go wrong. As far as de-essers, this does the job, though as I said there are very accessible stock plugs that function just as well. Wait for a voucher and a sale, and you'll have a great deal!

Il de-esse, mais aussi...
J'ai opté pour ce plug grace à un code de reduc d'UA. A l'utilisation, je ne regrette pas un instant mon choix. Il est efficace et sa fonction filtre qui permet de n'entendre que ce sur quoi travaille le de-esser est vraiment cool. Mais ca, d'autres l'ont aussi. Par contre, au niveau du son, il est efficace, sans impacter radicalement la tonalité ou la couleur de la voix. Je l'ai testée principalement sur des voix féminines, mais je commence à l'utiliser sur des voix masculines. Associé au boitier sattelite qui permet un bon nombre d'occurrences, il deviendra essentiel à mes mix. Le compression donne aussi beaucoup de "souplesse" aux voix tout en gardant un aspect très naturel à la sonorité de ces dernieres. On ne peut que recommander ce produit !

Digital De-Essers often take away too much, you sacrifice some range you want in vocals. The precision De-esser is great at getting the job done, while leaving your vocals in a range you want them. This easily become my go to de-esser
