Lovely preamp
It's so good for mic.. I record my tracks with this software and It makes warm sound.

Just getting started with my UA setup and new apollo, but so far very happy with the performance and the plugins. I'm in the middle of an editing project, and this Neve preamp has been totally useful for giving almost any track I put it on better transients and clarity. I also used it to record a couple of overdubs and was quite pleased. And at half price for $75 it's a steal. Hoping this project will bring lots more work my way so I can buy more plugins!

Slowly finishing my collection
Just trying to get as many of the UAD-2 plugins I can afford, before they drop Windows support completely! As this is only a retirement hobby, I haven't even used the last couple of purchases.

Simple and effective
Great for tracking with the unison technology or in the mix, I use it when just want the neve character. If I need more control and shaping I go with the SSL channel strip.

Sounds amazing but uses some serious DSP
Truly great sounding plugin but uses so much DSP that can be difficult to integrate into projects. That or I need to buy an octo satellite.

This plugin really changed my game, crazy good on vocals, guitars and everything you can record. It adds extremely wide sound and timeless feel to every source.

The only things I miss is a Vu meter on the plugin interface, but you can always rely on the UA console for that.

Exactly What I expected
I bought the EQ because I was looking for a 1084 style unit to use across many many channels. It has most of the EQ points I was looking for, the controls are really simple... I'm relatively happy with my purchase.
If I was to criticize one small point, it's that the lettering (or numbering?) is pretty tiny and hard to read. It's also an issue with the one I have in the rack, but that one I can at least get closer to see the numbers. So, maybe I need to figure out the magnifying glass feature in my OS...
Anyway, It's quickly become my go to tone shaper in the daw. I have pretty much all the control I want, and even when boosting a lot it still responds nicely.

Immediately useful...
It was useful the second I bought it! Tamed some spiny guitars easily in the mix with minimal effort. A great tool. Simple and subtle, but unmistakably great.

Good preamp
Sounds great on bass and adds a lot of weight. Saturates quite easily. Good on vocals as well, for adding a bit of grit.

Sublime solution for every situation
I didn't notice a "wow" factor on the first track I put it on. Or the second, or third. But 12 (or so) tracks in I thought "everything is fitting, finding a place, playing well with others". Nothing was fighting and what I was hearing felt cohesive. Easy, actually. Very happy I went with 1084 vs 1073, but that's just taste.

Bought it on promo. It’s great, but there are many other better preamps around here.
