Neve Warmth
All of the UAD Neve plugins are top notch! Just adding this to a track without touching a single dial, adds color and warmth. The presets are great and what I always start with. 9 times out of 10, I don't have to adjust but if I do, the presets get me very close to what I'm wanting to hear.

Sweet Spot
Simple, easy and warm. I love the UAD Neve plugins. I've used this on drums to get punchier kicks as well as bass. In addition, I've used this on electric guitar and have gotten great results. This is different that the 1081 and provides a different character, roundness and warmth. Both are awesome but really surprised at how different they are.

The 1073 went direct to my vocal chain, in combination with that C-suite Vox ….i e seriously never heard anything like it in a bedroom studio….its the equivalent of owning a vocal booth, no exaggeration!

Smooth, clean and expensive sound.
When I first demoed it, it wasn't as shiny and in-your-face as SSL, but once I started using it on many tracks, suddenly, everything fell into place with the slightest effort, much better than with SSL. The EQ and compressor are so spot on that it's hard to go wrong with them. Also, you can achieve some coloration with the preamp if you want. Smooth and warm but also clean, the 88RS always sounds expensive. It has probably the most expensive sound from the UAD library.

I have owned this plug in since January but when my apollo quad stop working i purchased the apollo solo and the plug is no longer recognized and due to the need to record we repurchased it thinking it would sync and work yet still its not syncing and Universals customer service has done nothing to make sure we get it synced and working. So no we purchased it twice and have received NO support in getting it to be recognized on our Mac Studio. Very bad customer service and in no way would we recommend Universal Audioto anyone who may need customer support.

Excellent plugin - Versatile
Every setting I try I like, compression, EQ etc.
Still getting to know all possibilities and enjoying the experiences. Neve plugins are my favourite.

A Good Reason This Preamp Is So Respected
I wondered what all the fuss was about regarding this pre amp in the industry. But I sure do get it now. The warmth, clarity and vibrance it can add to a signal is pure magic. I would consider this a "Must Have" plug in for sure.

Life changer?
Like so much of UA's gear, this changed my recording game in a big way. Having only recorded with a real Neve channel strip once in my life, I thought I'd never be able to acheive such sounds again without dropping big money in a proper studio. After researching the differences between the 1073 and the 1084, I decided to drop my money on the 1084, and it worth every penny. Full blow flavor in so many ways. Having three separate outputs leads to creating incredible tones that don't blow your gain staging out of the water. Lately, I've been recording full sessions this week using it on every channel and all I can say is I can't believe what I'm hearing. Combining the Unison technology into my recordings really has given me the confidence to experiment with tones that otherwise we not acheivable with my former analog gear. If you're on the fence, jump down immediately and join the fun, you won't regret it.

I use 88RS on my vocal chain with 1073
I put the legacy version with a gate on together with 1073 on vocal chain and can simulate a quiet room at my rather noisy home with a condenser mic. Combined together sounds smooth but uses hardly any dsp on my Apollo Solo. But it would be good if console had a built in gate.

Once you hear the Neve preamps you don’t want to settle for less. They just sound better to me.
