Good but with problems
The plugin sounds very good but most of the time, when reopening saved projects, the right channel has a significant drop in volume even with linked channels. I always have to slightly touch both "record" level and "reproduce" level to get back to normal functioning. Very annoying. Too many times I had to (re)bounce final mixes due to this problem. Without mentioning even worse problems when you have the plugin on the master channel and you keep mixing not realising you are working with an unbalanced stereo image. You can imagine.

Good.
I demoed this Ampex ATR-102 and it sounded awesome for what I was working on at the moment, so I bought it straight away. But after spending all that money it didn’t sound that great anymore. And I all ready had a good tape plugin, but I went greedy and wanted better. If you have the money to spend it is definitely worth the bucks, but I don’t make money off of my music, I just do it for fun so I should have settled with what I had. Or bought the cheaper one, Oxide Tape.

Good but,
I bought this plugin, at a discount for obvious reasons. This plugin is awesome, so let's get that straight. With that being said, the price hikes this company has are mind blowing. Plugins are everywhere now, only get what you need.

Kind of...
It does a thing, I guess.
it doesn't really sound much like a 102 though, but it's kinda hard and gritty if you like that sort of thing..

Sounds good but...
It adds tape hiss and a ton of latency. Sucks up quite a bit of DSP as well. Nice saturation effect. I recommend using this on final mix down and not live performance.
.
Sound great but beware of the latency.
The best tape plug in ever, but you cannot track through this. If you wanna use it for tracking get the Studer.

Amped ATR 102
Plug in carries quite a bit of noise with it, I will see how it performs.

It does its thing
I demo'd this briefly a couple months back and really liked it, so I decided to wait till there was a sale.
Just bought it this past month, the honeymoon ended fairly quickly.
I like it for warbly lo-fi sounds, and the delay is nice it's just not something I need (wish I'd saved that $175, glad I didn't pay full price).
That said I do lean towards fairly saturated sounds and this just doesn't sound quite right to me, it doesn't do punchy and driven it just gets dull like every other tape sim I've tried.
I do find it fun for more effecty things, but if I could return it I would.
So for now I'll continue bouncing every track to the Otari.

I TRY THE DEMO AND I LIKE IT BUT
GREAT PLUG IN FOR INDIVIDUAL TRACKS BUT IT DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERTHING ESPECIALLY FOR MASTERING. GREAT 3D SOUNDING PLUG IN BUT BE CAREFULL IT CAN RUIN DYNAMICS PRETTU BAD WHEN PUSH HARD TRY THE OXFORD INFLATOR NOW THATS A MAGNIFICENT PLUG IN NEVER KILLS THE DYNAMICS SUCH A WONDERFUL TOOLS ,
