Sound Examples of the ATR-102 Tape Recorder and MXR Flanger/Doubler Plug-Ins

We came across these two great videos of UAD Powered Plug-In power user Andreas Neubert using his drumming talents to provide a quick demo of how two of our new plug-ins sound through various settings.

Here Andreas scrolls through the various presets for the Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder. “Please keep in mind that this is just zapping through presets, most of which where created for mixing and not for mastering and have not been fine-tuned to suit this actual mix,” he mentions. “Only the very first setting "Default +3dB" was edited to fit the music - the other settings are just to show off, in what directions the emulation could change your music.”

In this second video, Andreas showcases the dramatic modulation and sweep effects that can be generated with the MXR Flanger/Doubler Plug-In. “The new UAD MXR Flanger/Doubler includes a lot of drum-style presets, so I decided to let some drums run through the plugin. At the end there is also some guitar (palm mutes).”
