Amazing but CPU hungry!
It's an amazing plugin, the sound sculpting possibilities are phenomenal BUT it eats CPU like a monster so forget about putting in on everything if You don't have a hi-end computer.

Perfect for small room studios.
Sound City is the perfect plugin for anyone like me, that has small drum room,(3x3x3), as dead as possible to avoid any annoying reflections, to add space and realism to your recordings.

Putting tracks in the same space
I bought this product in the midst of working on a country rock track. I record in a small home studio, with only vocals as audio tracks and the rest virtual instruments from various developers. I was curious if this Sound City Studios could help me put all the disparate sources in the same virtual space, while also fitting my specific song and recording. After experimenting with the plugin (mostly in re-mic mode) on a few tracks, I ended up going back to the original recordings for all tracks and using SCS to try and simulate all tracks having been recorded in the same space after initially using other plugins to remove the built-in ambience from my vocals. My PC is one I built back in 2014 and far from state-of-the-art, and I can only get a few instances of SCS operating in parallel, so there was a lot of rendering of tracks to audio with the plugin to come up with new "basic tracks" (i.e. the equivalent of what might have been recorded live in a real studio prior to mixing), but I feel the result was ultimately worth it, and I expect to use this quite a bit in the future.

Real studio sound
Provides a greater depth and definition to your mixes. It needs some practice to get the best sound from the room. I'm not a fan of using this as an insert as there's not enough control of the rooms parameters. I use it on Aux and Buss mainly, which allows you to place your drums and instruments back and forth in the mix. Previously I was using Acustica's Silver room simulator, which is good but not as sophisticated as this Sound City Plug in.

Low graphics resolution mode request
Sounds great, although a bit expensive on old 2015 mac. And it looks like the reason is the same as with Arturia. 4K graphics of interface?..or am i wrong? ...would be nice to focus on sound if thats the case though)

Lovely sounds, please optimise for performance.
Easily would be 5 stars if it didn’t use all the CPU. Sounds amazing ok drums and even synths through the PA. Never thought i’d like the mic colouring hut they sound awesome.
Need a performance update, I lucky to be able to run 3 instances at once (Ryzen 5 3600x 16gb) Probably the most demanding plugin I have. Still love it.F. Diekert

UADのルーム系はとても素晴らしい。capitol chambersもお気に入りだ。IKにもSunset Studioなどがあるが、UADの密度の濃さとは比較できない。
このプラグインは音の良さだけでなく、細かな設定ができる。しかも全てグラフィックで分かりやすく、初めて触ったとき、何も見なくてもそれなりに使えるのが良い。
唯一の難点は、プラグイン自体のCPU負荷が高いこと。音を考えるとやむを得ないのかもしれないが、この点だけが悩ましい。

Great sounding plug-in, I love it!!!
It was the missing link on my productions. The use of FX was helping to achieve the depth needed but still was something missing. I tried this studio room emulation and instantly change the character of my song! The depth I was trying to achieve was finally present! it sounds great, every single set has a distinct character and the combinations are endless. You can adjust the settings to achieve your room sound from tight, small, big and bigger. However, the only limitation is that it consume a lot of processing power, I got a good processor (i9 with 14 processors and 28 threads & 64GB if RAM) and five instances make my PC running to the maximum. It will be great to have a DSP version to use it with a satellite unit. Hopefully UNIVERSAL AUDIO will read our reviews and work on making this possible!

Sounds great, but why no DSP version?
I love the sound and would like to use it on multiple tracks, but opening more than one instance on even a relatively simple mix causes my i9 CPU to stutter and crackle -- why isn't there a DSP version?
