Great freebie with its own mojo!
It definitely has some mojo, I've used this for tracking drums and vocals mainly as well as other instruments with very gentle settings printed and it works wonders. I also suggest trying the EQ and COMP at the mix buss at the beginning of your mixing process. Give it a test and don't overlook it just because it's free, definitely worth using it, not so dsp hungry and great for tracking large sessions with EQ and COMP in your recordings.

I use the compression / limiting as the final processing in my vocals wether lead or BGV's. It's clean, it's straight to the point, and it free up my CPU for more intensive stuff. It's not bad at all. Try it. Sometime you just need to do some quick adjusting but don't want character plugs.

Warmth and character
Adds warmth and character to a track. Nice on vocal tracks. Sometimes not tight enough for my personal taste but great analog feel. Too soft and too smooth on a master bus for my ears. Don't use the compressor much though.

Pristine delays
I'm really impressed by the flexibility and clarity of these delays. It makes your tracks shine and bounce all over the place. I'm digging it! you can setup independent repeat rates per channel, and many more things. Highly recommended and CPU light plugin!

AMAZING
Used it over a sloppy classic guitar sound, with a bit of Lexicon 224 and Harrison EQ. Result, the sound of Paco de Lucia was in the room. Must have multi tasker

Cool basic plugin
I have replaced all the different parts of this plugin with much better UAD plugs. However, I do still use this plugin for tracking with my Apollo 16. Its a nice, low DSP option to use for monitor mixes through the UA software mixer. If you need to compress and add a little reverb/delay to get a nice sound to the cans this little plug does the job.

CS-1 PLUG-IN
These are some really unique sounding units, i especially like the reflection plug to add width and depth to the mix, i only recently stumbled upon these but have started to go back to them more and more now. Brilliant plugins

Lots of great presets
I think this plug-in is awesome, plenty of knobs to tinker with, and comes with a lot of good and interesting presets. I found the two drum presets a great starting point on a bus or directly on the track.

CS-1 extremely useful for me!
I love this plug. Not many channel strips have a delay component. I use the individual parts quite often (especially the DM-1L as an easy to use delay). I really like the reflector, a very useful tool. Compressor works pretty well and the eq can yield good results if you take some time with it. Overall, a very solid offering using only a little DSP for the best price – FREE.
