Octo Core TB3
Really can’t go anywhere with big sessions without extra DSP. Went for the octo in the hope I didn’t need anymore - all worked out. Also the size of the unit is the same as an Apollo Twin :)

Love it, takes a load off my CPU but...
docking a star off because it should really come with more plugins at that price. In practice you only really get two decent go-to plugs. La-2a and 1176. And they're the old ones that done't have headroom dial and resizing options like the newer versions available natively. I've just paid 999 euro and then it's only another €53 for the essentials in 'my offers' to get a few more plug-ins. Seems like such a small amount relative to the 1k I just spent, why not just through that essentials collection in.

Why did I wait so long?
The UAD-2 Satellite is a fantastic piece of kit. No more bouncing or freezing tracks. I am able to mix without thinking about DSP resource management. I am very happy and the OCTO over the Quad version is a bargain. But if your present need or budget is for the Quad version, don’t hesitate, pull the trigger you will not be disappointed.

A sturdy and powerful little box!
The Octo is plugged in and rocking with my Apollo Twin… a sturdy and powerful little box! The additional DSP makes mixing in Luna and Pro Tools with UAD plugins a breeze. Definitely worth the expense for the value added. Highly recommend!
