I spent a little time tossing up between the Neve 88RS (new version) and the API Vision channel strips. I'm glad I went with the Neve. It has transformed my mixes. Even just adding this to the mix bus works wonders. Main elements in the mix are more present / forward, there's more width and fizz on the top end, it glues the bottom end together. The distortion and saturation added from the preamp (even as a mix plugin) is incredible, if only subtle. The EQ is the sweetest sounding software EQ I've ever used. I was never convinced you needed a $250k Neve console to get that magic glue... Until now... But UAD have somehow captured this in a plugin... I don't care that it uses so much juice, it's worth it! This has made mixing so much easier :)

My favorite mixer plug
I've been using the SSL mixer plug from waves for a couple of years now and also have the API but always preferred the SSL's tonality. Well now that I have the Neve 88RS, the other 2 will be collecting virtual dust as this plug produces tracks with much more punch and overall dynamic range. With a warmer and clearer high end than the others. It does use more resources than most of the other UA plugins, I suppose I will have to add an Octo card to my rig in the new year!!!!!! Thanks UA for the great gear

The most usable 1073 plug. The new is a real treat. You can push it quite hard and it still seems musical.
Bit of a hog. But I can see why.

What an outstanding plugin. The frequency range just fits everything and always seem to be "just what the track needed".. I hate plugins like this because Im looking to use it whether i need it or not. It just sounds that good.

Awesome sound
I demo'd all of the unison preamps and the 1073 really nailed it. I love using the unisons with this and my neumann 102. I wanted the API vision also, but the 1073 had to be first. Hoping for another coupon so I can get the API before the sale is over. Thanks UAD for a great plugin.

Get That Pro Sound
I didn't think it was possible to get such sound from 1's and 0's....It's amazing. I use the Neve 1073 mostly while tracking live, and now with my Apollo8 I can place four instances on each preamp and the sound it pristine...Track with it if you can to save DSP. Gives my tracks depth and a silky sheen...Best on Vocals! My fav plugin for sure.Nothing from anywhere or anyone comes close.

1081 - "A piece of work"
I love it.. bottom line. Smooth, sensitive, articulate, punctual. I've always loved the hardware 1081 back in the days of
only hardware. never thought I could hear the articulation on a software version.. BUT there ya go.. It's here.
UA's are fantastic overall... a little on the high side of prices... but not really when you consider what you get!!

UAD is the best
Universal Audio has done it again. There plug ins are the best there is. I had the original and this one is even better. The preamp is worth the price alone.

This is it!
This just has "THAT" sound. I have used it in unison with my apollo for acoustic guitar, and for guitar cab and it sounds great. I have also used it as a regular plugin on an already recorded bass track and it just makes it sound so much better. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you have an apollo!

NEVE sound
I love this EQ cause I get true Neve sound. Very bright, detail and smooth. It's my favorite eq for drums and acoustic guitars.

A must have purchase
Ok I thought I was getting reasonable clarity on my vocals until I ran them through this baby .Talk about night and day,it was just so easy to breath life and presence into them but still sitting right in the mix.the 1073 works wonders on anything and its damned hard to resist using it! Even strapped across the outputs with no eq gives anything a more musical timbre.I really wouldn't want to turn my gear on without it now.The two eqs that come bundled with it are also top quality but use less cpu.BUY IT!!

Very Good Emulation
This is my favorite UAD eq plug along with the maag, although that does something completely different. The high shelf on this is very musical, and the extra mid range band is very useful.

I knew the reputation of Neve and now I can confirm that the quality is impressive. The plugin is incredible, very easy to use and the equalisation is smooth as silk. I highly recommend this plugin!!! Thanks UA

I own everyone of the Neve Plug Ins at UA and it Doesn't disappoint...the 31102 has a Few Added Frequency Options and sits between its Siblings the 1081 and 1073...You need the 3 Nevekateers together to open up some Precise EQ ing Tools...
