Fantastic as usual.
This is a great sounding plugin. UA rarely disappoints. There is not too much to say that has not been said. Its a faithful reproduction of possibly the most widely used and versatile compressor ever. It sounds great on most sources and is one of my go to comps for drums, bass and as a part of my vocal chain. Each of the three comps that are part of the bundle has a slightly different flavor. I am still getting my head around the sonic differences and which I prefer on each source. Get it. It will be one of your most used plugins.

Stunning Sound, Amazing Character
I bought these with the intent of finding something better than my current 1176 plugin. I figured UA had the industry on lockdown, considering their 1176 is the most popular hardware option, so I went with the plugins after getting them at a good price. Upon loading these on my vocal track, I couldn't believe the analogue vibe they gave the vocals. Even with barely doing any compression, having it enabled brought that unique, analogue warmth to the track. After pushing it to about -7db in compression, I was pleased and then some. Seriously, I prefer how these sound to a 3rd party budget HARDWARE unit that I own. I can't recommend these enough. You don't truly have a good 1176 plugin until you own these.

PULTEC PASSIVE EQ "SURPASSES"
Thought I would win by trying a less expensive Pultec emulation from another plugin supplier...wrong. Even though the "other brand" claimed to be "an exact emulation" it was so much easier and realistic with the UAD plugin. And, what I think is the strongest selling point, I was able to choose from a large number of pro pre-sets to "get me in the ball park" of where I wanted to be. The rest was a snap. Thanks UA for another great plugin!!

610 but I'm only 5'8"
This thing makes your sound bigger than it really is...I got this collection with the purchase of my first Apollo unit....this was a smart move for UA since this introduced me to Unison Technology....Because of that I began my investment in UA and the UAD2 platform. It's quite remarkable actually how this placed me in another class of recording because of the stellar quality. These plugs are amazing to have and this along with the Neve 1073 prove time after time that Unison Technology is not a gimmick....this thing is real and is in the forefront of what we have and what's to come.

Like Quality Hair Spray
I purchased the 1176 Classic Limiter Plug-In Collection a while back and I was taken back by how many times I use it throughout all my mixes....This thing will control anything in it's path and you have complete control to easily get the results you need....Punchy, Light, Tight, as an FX and anything else....It won't control Fly-Away hair but as for music this thing is what you need. Get it and you will not be disappointed.

Just the ticket...
This straightforward set of plugins is just the ticket if you want to warm up some basic vocals and it is really simple and intuitive should you want to tweak the already nice presets. The presets cover the whole gamut of inputs you will need in your studio from Acoustic to Vox with Grit...No tech fear here, just great sound recording!

Amazing package
Amazing package, definitely my favourite software compressor bundle. Because I think the original UAD 1176 plug is pretty decent, I was a little cautious to even try the new versions because I didn't think that they would worth trying out. I was wrong, they use a ton of processing power, but are well worth it. So good in fact, I literally swapped my EL8X Distressor for an 1176LN reissue!
Best UAD plugin, followed by the Studer and the EMT 140. No regrets!

All The Color You Need
This thing can sound good on just about anything with the time constant controls. It adds its warmth and color even if you're just touching the gain reduction. Consequently, its great even for the less aggressive program material. I personally love using it on a drum bus or bass to beef it up a bit. Very versatile compressor with an excellent tone.

Go-To for Vocals
These plugins are my go-to vocal smoothing tools. They can be driven quite hard without any artifacts, just like the hardware units, and they add that little bit of warmth/saturation that grabs a bit of attention and makes the vocal stand out in the mix. Very true to the original hardware and simple to set and use. Sounds great when trying to smooth over a source.

Ridiculously Good Model
These plugins actually capture the excitement and grit of the original hardware unit. The Rev E sounds amazing on drums and vocals. Blows other models out of the water in tone. I've worked with the hardware models, and these are the only plugin models that actually get the tone of the feedback circuit coupling with the attack and release correct. Others are too clean and have to be driven too hard to get anywhere close to the original hardware. Universal Audio nailed it.

Great Emulation of a Classic Channel Strip
Plenty of tone in this plug. I have not worked with the original, but I have owned a few tube amplifiers and boy does this deliver. With this plugin I can keep my studio solid state, but get warm thick tone out vocals and anything else I put through it. I only have the 610B and I am looking to get the 610A soon. That's the reason for the 4 stars haven't demo'd the B yet. Got it bundled with my Apollo Twin Duo. Excellent emulation from UA though.

Holy smokes!!! Looking for that vintage edge? It's clean, crisp and mixes well on everything. Set a few of these up with a 1176 blue stripe, pultecs, EMT 140 plate and a Fairchild on your master buss and your getting closer to The Doors sound. Only your imagination can stop you.
