More nice look, more nice sound
Beautiful look I love it. However, any of them sounds better than the legacy version. More clear, more big, more close.
I have a 6176 hardware to make the records and then I put one of these at the end of the chain as a limiter.

Dead easy, gorgeous looking, sweet sounding
I've never worked with a real Pulteq, and quite frankly I never understood why people were raving about this old box. Haven't EQs gotten so much better over the years?
Well, I don't know if it's the ease of use or the character it has but I do see now why it is still so popular. It has become my go-to EQ for guitars and individual drums, even sometimes vocals.
Many times just because it's so dead easy to dial in.
This new version is not all that different sonically from the legacy plug. It does have some more beef low end and some slight improvements, but sadly not enough for me to pay the price.
The GUI is one of the most beautiful UA has put out there and it is also optimised for retina displays which few of the UA plugs are. A+!

Versatility Defined!
Having three beautifully modeled, unique variants of one of the most versatile, classic compressors, makes this collection indispensable. Absolutely stellar sounding set of plugins that I wouldn't want to mix without.
I really wish UA would put a mix knob on these. Most of the newer plugins have it and it makes parallel processing so much easier.

Fairchild 660 for Bass
I just purchased the Fairchild Tube Limiter Collection and have just began to experiment tracking Bass Guitar. I have played many different basses in different styles and the results are amazing! I have used many of the other UAD-2 compressor plugins and had good results but the Fairchild 660 is the best, by far! The tone and musicality of its sound is exceptional with a full low end without the pumping sound. I have been playing and recording bass for 40 years now and this will be my "Go To" plugin until something better comes around. (Doubtful!) Another UA Homerun!

Really Great
I lean more to the player/computer geek side of things. So I wanted to take a while with these guys before leaving a review. Having said that, the Passive EQ collection is simply great. They sound great, the presets are very usable and tweaks are easily made with musical results. Again, I don't have tons of experience with the hardware version so I was a little apprehensive. That quickly went away. Well done to all at UA.

Damn fine product
Great plug in especially when used for DR880 drum set. I have the 1176 channel strip and the 610 B is pretty close to the "real thing."

I got the 610-B included with my classic pro bundle and um'ed and ah'd about buying the 610-A. When I eventually did, I was totally blown away by the tone and distinctiveness of it. Well worth it.
Two very distinct vibes. 610-A is old and gooey. 50's / early 60's American tone. 610-B is less vintage but very solid and forward sounding. Gives balance and authority to acoustic instruments.
Totally awesome sounding plugins. They are DSP hogs though, so be prepared for that. I ended up adding an octo to my initial quad purchase to better utilise gems like these.

Love the silver
Love the faster time constants on the silver. I use it a lot on vocals and other sources. The mkii collection adds some nice extra special magic on crucial tracks over the original la2a.

Incredible software compressor from UA!
I’ve worked with the actual LA2A many times and this software version comes amazingly close to the real thing! It gives unique vintage taste and works great at the Master channel strip as a limiter. Its natural and analog character adds a bit of “life” to each sound.

Great sounds right from the presets
I never used any of the hardware this plugin is based on but I can say they make every track sound awesome. Just swapping between presets is aurally pleasing.

I love this as a 2nd compressor in the chain. Beautiful master piece of a plugin!
